We will be starting the repointing works of the pub this week, which will take a few weeks to complete. The old pointing needs to be chipped out to make way for the new, and scaffolding will be erected from 9th September for safe working on the higher sections. Local stonemason David Wood will be doing the work, a familiar face to many in the village.
The repointing will significantly improve the pub’s dampness and kerb appeal so we are looking forward to seeing the completed works.
Due to the nature of the work, there will be some noise and dust – our sincere apologies in advance to our neighbours!
