Vacancy – kitchen assistant

Our Head Chef has over 35 years of experience and our food is highly regarded, attracting customers from the local area and beyond. The current menu includes a good range of authentic Mediterranean and English dishes including pizza, pasta, fish and meat using fresh, good quality ingredients. Our commercial kitchen is modern and includes wood fired pizza ovens, a char grill, fryers and a gas cooker.

Job Role

– reporting to the Head Chef as part of a team

– an interest in fresh food preparation and cooking

– keeping the kitchen and working areas clean and tidy

– developing safety and food hygiene standards

Person Profile

– age 16+

– a team player, enthusiastic with a can do attitude

– excellent attention to detail

– flexibility to work different shifts on a rota

– hard working and reliable

– optional catering apprenticeship opportunity for a young person

Hours and Pay

– between 20 and 30 hours per week across a 7 day rota including mornings, afternoons, evenings and weekends

– a good rate of pay depending on age and experience

– optional pension contribution

– immediate start
