We decided to use the Coronavirus lock down period to refurbish the bar and pool room, finishing it yesterday ready for our re-opening today!
The work involved taking up and replacing the floors, replacing ceilings, re-plastering walls, re-wiring of electrics, opening up fireplaces and installing woodburning stoves, repairing and sanding the old floorboards, tiling the floors, repairing and adding panelling, painting and decorating – and lots of cleaning!
This phase of work stopped at the customer side of the bar – our working area will be completed at a later date. Many thanks to all of the tradesmen, friends and family for helping us reach the deadline. Billy Gibson was still painting at 6pm last night!
