Harbottle Show A traditional Borders Show with a great mix of the old and the new
The first Saturday in September
The Harbottle Show is typically held on the first Saturday in September every year in The Oak Field in Harbottle village, a stunning location below the ancient Drake Stone overlooked by Harbottle Castle ruins.
According to the Show schedule on 8th October 1932, it was 'The Seventieth Annual Show', which suggests the first Show was held around 1862.
At the Show you will find produce and craft competitions, sheep classes, terrier races, a dog show, quoits, Cumberland wrestling, car boot sale, food stalls, trade Tents, archery, childrens games and live music. After the show, there will be auction of the produce held in The Star Inn from around 8pm onwards. The pub will have a late licence until 1am.
More information can be found on the official Harbottle Show website.
